Tim Hortons Inc. moves to Canada

I recall a few weeks ago hearing that Canada is now ranked as having a more free economy than the United States. It was hard to believe. The proof is in business activity, though, and Tim Horton's Inc. helped the point when announced at the end of June it will be converting from a Delaware corporation to a Canadian corporation to take advantage of Canada's tax structure.

An openly socialist country is now seen as having a more business-friendly tax environment than the U.S. If we'd like to keep any of our businesses, now would be a good time to turn our policies around. A glimpse of the future of the U.S. comes from California, where businesses are leaving by the tens of thousands, fleeing over regulation and high taxes.
